Little stuff

 Just little stuff going on.

Hey all,
Here are a few pics of the bits and bobs I have been gluing and waving a paintbrush at, apart of all of my other hobbies that get in the way, not to mention real life. They are just a few bits of scatter terrain to add to the look of my small gaming table.

Here is the maker's info.
This is what it can look like, better if you spend more time on it.
This is a small section of a thin MDF wall, there are larger pieces in the set (unpainted). The removable slot in the middle is for a 90-degree angle to be slotted in. The size of that section is about two inches in length.
A spring or water fountain feature. Complete with painted rock stones. (It contains one base section, 4 height sections to make 2 layers and a top section). The top had been distressed to simulate wear and extra cracks. Gold and silver dots were added on the bottom for coin offerings. Bits of plaster for rocks. After the nail varnish (i had no bespoke water product) had dried, I painted the rocks sticking above the water grey. I may put some green mold on it later.

All three together for a sense of scale.

Some 10 mm-ish Dwarf Warriors, partially painted.

"Get stuck in, Lads and Lasses!".

I will put 1p bases on them at a later date, for better stability. Some of the bases
needed sanding down and a bit of "flashing" was showing, but that was very easily fixed.

Regards all,

Ivor Cogdell

P.S. I have now painted the Dwarf bases green.

Barrage Show from Stafford 2019

Hi all,
Here are my photographs from the Barrage Wargame show in Stafford.

"If you went, did you enter into the jungle?"

"All sorts of nasties waiting for the unwary."

"Blood Bowl" in the gaming room. I have never played it, but seen a few videos, good fun.

Another match going on. "Will he fall for my cunning plan?"

One of the stalls selling SF Layouts. Lots of goodies.

Another shop display.

Another way to get rid of all that loose change in your pocket.

All budgets catered for.

Spearhead.

"Get stuck in, Lads"

"Which window has the sniper in it?  No beating your hands on the table in anger."

A nice idea here, the vertical cards in the terrain block the line of sight and give a visual representation as well.

"Battlemats at the ready,? Then "Chocs Away!"

40k Battlegrounds now .....

One of the painting competitions.

A battle mat depicting boats.

"You may recognize Mel, the Terrain Tutor Blogger and Author, who I bumped into while we were both taking a break. If you see him at a show, give him a wave. For more details, go to -  http://www.theterraintutor.co.uk/
Highly recommended, well known in the hobby, so if you are stuck on a build, drop him an email or one of his vlogs.

"Thanks to his "Better Half" for taking the photos.
Mel can be found at theterraintutor.co.uk. Enjoy.

That's your lot for pictures.

Personally, I bought some ancient battle rules, a Frostgrave supplement and the Fading Suns core rulebook, some scenery bits and some 15mm figures.

Thanks for a great show everybody.
