Hi all,
Just a quick shout out to ED at Two Hour Wargames. He has updated his freebies to the latest rule set, how cool is that! You can get fantasy and modern rules on his website. Look out for "Swordplay", the fantasy rules (2015 and 2018 versions) and Chain Reaction 3.1. the core rule set that can be used for modern stuff tryouts to see if you like the system.
I do plan to use Swordplay rules in my Mordheim setting to see how it plays in solo mode, I also have the Frostgrave Rules from Osprey to try out, I am still digesting them at the moment.

Thoughts On - Alita Battle Angel.
Hi all,
The story is based on an Anime Graphic Magazine or comic. A robot with a "hidden past", tries to find out who and what she/it is. The 3D graphics coming from the studios were top notch as usual, acting / script was a bit weak and soppy at times. The underlying plot reminded me of the recent film "Ready Player One", the underdog against the big masters. To be fair, it is aimed at the younger teen audience and I am slightly older than that to say the least. I did enjoy it and will be looking out for part two, that's what its all about.
Score - 6 out of 10.

Just a quick question
Hi all,
Just a quick question for you, "what RPG or Wargame did you expect not to like, but did ?", Or if you want to do it the other way around "What did you expect to like but did not ?"
Please put your answers (and why, if you want) in the comments section below.
In my case it was Chuthulu, I am not usually into horror as such (apart from D and D), but I tried it a couple of times at my local club, "Circle Battle Group" and liked it. If you want to find us on Facebook, it is Circle Battlegroup.
I watched the final 15 minutes of Robo Rally, a card-driven board game. Robots race around a randomly generated conveyor strewn course, where you plan your moves with the cards you are given (which may be of no use to you whatsoever but you have to use them anyway), then they all move together and hope you are not knocked out of sequence and crash into a hazard or shot by another player. The gamers all seemed to be enjoying it, but I'm not sure it is my sort of thing. I suppose that the proof is in the playing.

WHF - Arrival at Mordheim - Part 3
Hi all,
Here is a quick top up of the Mordheim adventure. Parts 1 and 2 can be found earlier.
Wolf Head takes a Rout Test and fails (6.5), he flees the board with Iggy, Snifter and Yellow Top close behind. They stay on the board.
Slasher and Nobbler Charge Grinder, who calls for help. (Flika and Curly Tail initially charged him too, but turn and face Bronn and Gornish, who rush to Grinder's aid).
Klacker comes down the ladder onto the ground. (NOTE - He could have moved forward and shot from the walkway, but that would have made him even slower in joining the combat, if he was needed).
NOTE - I'm not sure if the about-face by Flika and Curly Tail was totally correct in the rules, but thought it went with the storyline and their need for self-preservation.
Feel free to add your thoughts in the comments.
Slasher attacks Grinder. 4 Hit. 3 Glancing blow.
Grinder defends, 6 a Critical Hit, 6 Two wounds caused, Injury 4+2 = Slasher Out of Action.
Nobbler attacks Grinder. 3 Miss.
Grinder defends, 1 Miss, he misses also with his dagger.
Flicka attacks Gornish (with a Flail) 4 Hit, 3 wound, Gornish tries to protect himself with his shield (6 needed, 4 rolled = failed), Injury 2, Knocked Down.
Curly Tail attacks Bronn. 2 Miss.
Bronn defends, 4 Hit, Ct attempts a parry with his sword 1, missed, Wound 3 missed with a glancing blow.
There you go, I hope you like it.

P.S. Hmm, I tried to share this, nothing. I tried to add a comment, same thing, nothing doing. Is there a bug or problem in the system? Can you please add a comment, even if it is just a "Hi there", so that I know it is working. Thanks.
